MVHR Commissioning Engineer
21° are hiring for the role of the MVHR Commissioning Engineer.
We are looking for a highly motivated individual who will travel throughout the country to set up and commission MVHR systems in line with our in-house design. The role involves communication with clients, contractors and project managers; often working within a finished house with clients present.
As well as commissioning, this role will entail servicing, fault finding and repairs as well as providing an extra pair of hands to our installation team when required.
There will be admin tasks such as the completion of reports and maintaining records on our CRM system.
As the face of 21° you will be expected to present yourself professionally, to a high standard, and promote our company services.
Key responsibilities
- Commissioning of MVHR systems including producing reports for Building Control sign off in line with Part F of Building Regulations
- Investigating problems and system faults and providing on-site presence to repair faults
- Servicing of existing MVHR systems
- Liaising with clients, contractors and project managers to organise visits and solve issues
- Where required provide on-site support to our installation team
- Maintaining records on our CRM system
- Working closely with our aftersales team and commissioning engineer, providing clear and timely communication and feedback.
Education & Qualifications
Desirable
- Good knowledge of Building Regulations Part F
- Willingness to learn and apply new skills
Essential
- GCSE and A Level or equivalent
- Good written and verbal communication skills
Work Experience

- Experience of working within the ventilation industry

- Experience working on a live building site
- Experience of being in a customer-facing role
Technical competencies
- Computer literate with experience of Office Suite including Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Ability to read and understand simple wiring diagrams and commission system controls
- Ability to read and understand manufacturer's instructions
- Good written and verbal communication skills to able to converse well with customers, suppliers, and our team
- Investigating problems, diagnosing/repairing faults
- Liaising with installation/project managers.
- Carrying out on site installation including ductwork, cutting and assembly
- Writing commissioning and servicing reports with documentation for customers
- Document customer conversations and provide updates on visit via our CRM
- Responding promptly to any customer calls/emails and provide timely solutions
- Coordinate with customers for timely arrivalsProvide onsite technical support and handover to customers
- Help assist with other duties when required such as MVHR demonstrations in our showroom, exhibition setups and breakdowns, and any office-based tasks as required
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines during all installation, commissioning, and repair activities.
- Working away from home and being flexible with working hours
- Driving for several hours a day and having a clean driving licence
- Able to work under own initiative under pressure and competing work requirements
- Interest in energy-efficient buildings.
