Golcar Passivhaus: Door Thresholds

As we have mentioned in a previous blog, our door threshold detail at the Golcar Passivhaus was an improvement on the fiddly and more expensive detail we tested out at the Denby Dale Passivhaus. The reason we could improve upon the detail was our discovery of the versatile rigid insulation product Compacfoam 200, which we now also sell

We have just developed the following 3D diagram, with local designers 3Dstate, which really helps convey the way the Compacfoam was installed at Golcar.

We have used Compacfoam 200 in similar ways at all our recent building projects, including the Lower Royd radical retrofit.
