Approved Document Q of the Building Regulations for England became mandatory for all new dwellings on 1 October 2016. This means that windows and doors in new dwellings, where Part Q is applicable, will need to be security tested to PAS 24, or equivalent standard.

Bespoke designs
We have some standard designs to give you some inspiration however all of our products are bespoke so we can work with you to achieve the door that best suits your style.
Contemporary panelled doors
Available in our GBS98 Timber or GBS98-A AluClad timber our contemporary doors achieve the lowest U values and are Passivhaus suitable. A fully insulated door blank with 80mm of insulation can get down to 0.7 U value depending on design chosen. We can route vertical or horizontal grooves into the panels and can incorporate glazing any size you require.
Traditional and custom door designs
All of our door ranges can be made in traditional and custom designs, from fully glazed to fully boarded and everything in between. We can add mullions and transoms, flat panels, grooved panels or raised and fielded. We can add text or numbers to glazing and have a range of privacy glass options.
Door thresholds
We have options available when it comes to the door threshold. As standard we supply our thermally broken part M compliant threshold. But we can also add sub cills in a choice of materials, shapes and sizes. Acoya timber in traditional shapes and sizes to allow for a step in floor levels and often used in replacement or retrofit projects. Or Compacfoam blocks to any size to create a thermal break and structural support beneath the door, ideal for new build and deep retrofit.

21 Degrees windows & doors are all made from timber with Aluminium clad options available. These can incorporate triple glazing or highly insulated panels.

U-Values measure how well heat is transferred by the entire window/ door – the frame, sash and glass – either into or out of the building. The lower the U-Value number, the better the window or door will keep heat inside a building on a cold day.
