Chiswick Eco Lodge

RDA Architects have designed a unique three bedroom Passivhaus-certified house on the site of a former garage in Chiswick. The project is a Finalist in the Urban category of the UK Passivhaus Awards 2016. 21 Degrees MVHR Design Service supplied and designed the MVHR system at the project.

Background

The 110m2 project has been built with reinforced concrete and blockwork with external insulation, and offers a contemporary, bright and spacious design. To help blend in with the surrounding Edwardian street there is a ‘living wall’ and the lower storey has been sunk below street level so that 50% of the building’s total volume is hidden.

Heat recovery ventilation

21 Degrees designed, supplied and commissioned the PAUL Novus 300 MVHR system at the project.

We’ve used 21 Degrees MVHR Design Service for many of our projects. Each time we have used them we have found their technical team extremely knowledgeable and hands on. Their expertise means that a contractor can easily install a MVHR system for the first time with no major problems. The quality equipment and service that comes with it means that we’ll certainly be using 21 Degrees again!
